Ameillia Lacks Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week

Freshman midfielder, Ameillia B. Lacks of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women’s soccer team, was named JCC athlete of the week, for the week ending October 18, 2026.  Jefferson’s Athlete of the Week is sponsored by Victory Promotions.

Lacks, 2026 graduate from Gouverneur Central School District, is majoring in Humanities and Social Sciences at Jefferson.  This past week Ameillia has been a key contributor to the team’s offense, consistently making an impact by finding the back of the net and creating scoring opportunities for her teammates.

Her ability to attack with confidence, find space, and put pressure on opposing defenses has helped generate momentum and create valuable opportunities in the attacking third. Amelia’s offensive awareness, determination, and willingness to challenge defenders make her a constant threat on the field.

She continues to demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to helping the team succeed, both through her individual efforts and her ability to contribute to the team’s overall attacking play. Amelia’s consistency, drive, and impact in the offensive end make her a deserving choice for Athlete of the Week.
